Cookie policy
This policy describes what cookies are, how we use them on derqavio.com and how we apply Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits: language, session, preferences or aggregate metrics. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work; others are optional.
2. Prior consent
On your first visit we show a banner with three clear options: accept all, reject all or manage preferences. Nothing is activated until you decide. Your choice is stored in localStorage and reapplied automatically on future visits. If you clear your browser, the banner appears again.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Consent Mode v2 to respect your preferences in a way that is compatible with Google Ads and Google Analytics. Before loading any Google script we send default values set to 'denied' for ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. When you accept a category, we update the state with gtag('consent', 'update', ...) and fire the dataLayer event 'cookie_consent_update'. We also use ads_data_redaction=true and url_passthrough=true to reinforce privacy when consent is denied.
4. Categories we use
Necessary: keep the site working (language, security). Functional: remember interface preferences. Analytics: help us understand the aggregate use of the site. Advertising: enables measurement and remarketing on Google Ads and similar networks. User data and ad personalization: refine measurement and the relevance of the ads shown.
5. How to manage your preferences
You can change your preferences at any time from the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer. You can also clear the site cookies directly in your browser; in that case the banner will show up again.
6. Duration
Necessary cookies expire when you close the browser or during the session. Optional cookies have a maximum duration of thirteen months, after which we will request your consent again.
7. Third parties
Google (Ads and Analytics) is currently our main third party. Their practices are governed by their own policies, available at policies.google.com. We will not enable additional advertising networks without previously updating this policy.
